The situation regarding the COVID-19 outbreak is evolving rapidly. Just today, Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced, in alignment with advice from Australia’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Brendan Murphy, from Wednesday the 18th of March all non-essential indoor gatherings of over 100 persons including staff, should be cancelled. ANHC attendance most certainly sits above this guidance.

Our principal thought is for our patrons who have supported us through the last 12 years. We can’t thank you enough for your support and rest assured, we’ll be back in 2021. A secondary consideration is for our international guests currently facing extreme uncertainty regarding their international travel. While we’ve lined up a strong team of local presenters, our international brewing stars are at the heart of ANHC and we feel it would be very disappointing if folks were not able to travel safely in October, if at all.

The Executive Board has not made this decision lightly, and it is disappointing for us to postpone Australia’s biggest homebrewing party until 2021. Rest assured, we will keep working to make sure the postponed event will be an absolute cracker. We’ll update you through our newsletter and socials as the situation unfolds per governmental direction.
