Saison Au Poivre | Sea Legs Brewing
Brisbane’s Sea Legs Brewing has introduced its Saison A Poivre, a hefty 8.6% abv Belgian-style ale brewed with black peppercorns and lactose.
It’s available as a limited release in 440ml cans to pre-order, and the team are canning and shipping from today.
The Sea Legs Saison will also be available from the brewery’s Kangaroo Point taproom from 2pm today (1st May).
Easy Duz It | Two Birds Brewing
Eazy Duz It is Two Birds Brewing’s hop harvest 2020 session IPA.
Coming in at 4% abv, it’s made with Ella and Enigma hops straight from Tasmania.

Creature of the Night | Aether Brewing
Brisbane’s Aether Brewing is bringing back Creature of the Night, a peanut butter stout, in cans.
It’s the latest Fresh AF Friday release from Aether, and is available from today (1st May) from 3pm at the taproom (which is open for takeaways) and online.
The 7% abv beer has flavours of peanut butter, caramel and chocolate, said Aether, but customers need not feel for the 23 IBU beer is lactose free and vegan friendly.
Range | Braeside Brewing
The trend which has seen canners rushed off their feet has enabled Braeside to bring its range including Archers Son, Epsom Stout and Tropical Ale to customers, and is still selling its kegged beer in growler format, which co-founder Rame Abdallah says is keeping their heads above water, even if packaged beer doesn’t have quite the same margins as the taps.
“We can’t throw our hands in the air and give up,” he told Brews News.
“And our customers created this demand for our beers, they’ve come and asked if they can get six packs of their favourites. This is really one of the best areas for locals, they’ve really supported us.”
But Braeside isn’t only selling its own beers, having turned its now-closed taproom into a bottleshop to help sell beers from other Melbourne breweries including Wolf of Willows, Burnley Brewing and Two Bays Brewing.
“We’re also selling their beers to help locals and try and support everyone we can,” Rame said.
Sabro IPA | Akasha Brewing
Sydney brewery Akasha Brewing’s super limited release Sabro IPA is available online and for takeaways from today.
Sabro hops, the product of a 20-year breeding programme using Neomexicanus hops, gives it a unique flavour, said Akasha.
The 7.2% abv beer has notes of tangerine, coconut, tropical and stone fruits, and even subtle mint, cream, and cedar, explained Akasha’s brewers.
