Founder of Braeside Brewing Rame Abdallah, which opened last year has now his beers in cans, designed by Braeside Brewing’s head brewer and his wife. The Mordialloc brewpub has been open for takeaways but this weekend it will be opening for the weekend, the first time since lockdown restrictions were imposed.

Queensland’s Slipstream Brewing Co. is celebrating its third birthday this weekend, releasing its Anniversary Ale, which will go on tap for its bar reopening on 6th June.

New England Brewing Company is reopening this week for takeaway sales Thursday to Sunday 10am to 4pm, and have a a new shipment of one-litre squealer bottles and some new tap-only beers.

Meanwhile Beerfarm joins the lineup of brewery reopenings and is set to open its doors again on Friday June 19th, and Helios Brewing Company is also opening up, bookings are essential.

Hemingway’s Brewery on Cairns Wharf is also opening June 18th and will be open Thursdays to Sundays 12pm-10pm only at this stage. Port Douglas to remain closed until further notice.

Another beer-related business reopening is Hop On Brewery Tours which will be resuming tours from 11th July.

The Good Beer Co’s ‘A Good Beer Always Helps’ Pozible campaign has seen 780 Australians as well as businesses including Bintani raise $50,000 to provide more than 2,600 essential workers with craft beer.

“It was an absolute privilege to thank our essential workers and to hand deliver some of your gifts of beer to them at home and at work,” said Good Beer Co’s James Grugeon. “And just lovely to see how much they appreciated being thanked for keeping us all safe and keeping our country going while we’ve all been locked down.”

Founders First is reopening key venues including Kangaroo Island on 4th June, Foghorn Brewery at Newcastle, Jetty Road Brewery on the Mornington Peninsula and Potters Hotel in the Hunter Valley on 5th June, according to a notice on the ASX.

The Restaurant & Catering Association has launched its Retail Food Services Industry COVID Safe Plan for restaurants, cafes and caterers to help businesses give consumers confidence that food businesses are take additional steps to ensure safety in a post-COVID-19 world.
