Christian Barden is now leading the Kegstar’s global operations. He successfully started and scaled the UK and European business to over 700 customers and partners, working with over 30,000 hospitality venues and fast approaching 100,000 keg rentals a month since its inception in 2016.

Christian Barden is passionate about brewing and hospitality having spent his entire career in and around these industries. He grew up through the ranks of some of the world’s biggest drinks companies before moving into various executive leadership roles across several drinks, hospitality and technology based small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s).

Barden’s a big advocate of Kegstar’s founding culture and purpose which he helped create, along with the original Kegstar team in Australia, “which can be even more ingrained in all we do for our customers and partners in every market” he tells us. Christian’s quick to praise the work of his colleagues that have built the business around the world so far.

“It’s tough for everyone right now but where we’re allowed and it’s safe to do so, hospitality will always be where we go for good times with good friends. There’s always plenty of great keg drinks being showcased in those venues. Playing our support role in helping more brewers, cider makers and beverage producers get their great brands on those bars and served to just one more happy drinker is what we’re all about. We’ll just put greater effort in to doing it in a more sustainable and more people focused way.”

The tongue in cheek titled “Chief Kegsecutive” said “I’ve been lucky to work with many great brands, people and business models in an incredible industry in many countries and Kegstar has been an exciting continuation of that journey. We’re a very young company, we’ve only just started really, so keeping Kegstar simple and focused on customer experience will be key to earning the opportunity to work with more great drinks brands around the world. That way we get to share and reuse more kegs, keep having fun and help our customers grow!”
