Stone & Wood launches latest Counter Culture beer

January 25, 2021 by Media Release

COUNTER CULTURE RELEASES BREAKFAST-INSPIRED HONEY TOASTED HAZY IPA, THE HOLY GRAIN

Stone & Wood’s Counter Culture has released a Honey Toasted Hazy IPA called The Holy Grain with a nod to comical kingdoms as the range’s tenth limited release.

Counter Culture

Launched in March 2019, the Counter Culture beers will release a new brew every 10 weeks or so, after which they’ll disappear. The range will also feature recipes never tried at Stone & Wood, as well as popular Pilot Batch beers from the past, collaboration brews and beer inspired by the broader brewing community.

The Holy Grain – The Beer

The sacred quest is complete.

Counter Culture’s Honey Toasted Hazy IPA The Holy Grain has delicate layers of honey, vanilla and toasted coconut added to a rolled oat, wheat and pale malt backbone, balanced by Sabro, Galaxy, Citra and HBC472 hops for a velvety and wholesome finish.

The Holy Grain – The Stats

  • 6.2% alc/vol
  • 48kg local honey
  • 10kg vanilla
  • 20kg toasted coconut
  • Pale malts
  • Wheat

Availability

Like all the limited-release beers in the Counter Culture range, The Holy Grain will be sold in packs of two 500ml cans on Stone & Wood’s online store, as well in bottle shops and on tap at the Stone & Wood breweries in Byron Bay and Brisbane, albeit in limited volumes.

Members in the Stone & Wood Beer Club will receive their Holy Grain two-pack in the mail a week before the rest of the country.

The beer will leave the brewery gates and the stockist listing will go live online on Monday 1 February. After 10 weeks or so, The Holy Grain will make way for the next Counter Culture release.
