Beloved brewers and Aussie legends, Young Henrys, today announce the return of their live music series Best Served Loud, heading north of the border for two free shows in the Queensland capital. Kicking off on Friday, April 16 at The Bearded Lady, before heading to Greaser Bar on Friday, April 30, the latest instalments of Best Served Loud call on some of the country’s most exciting acts for two nights of rapturous live music.

Joining the heaving lineup and headlining The Bearded Lady gig is Byron Bay’s Seaside. The North Coast favourites will take their dreamy indie sound already embraced by national and community radio stations and mainstay festivals Splendour in The Grass and BIGSOUND. Next up is the electric Full Flower Moon Band; the work of producer Babyshakes Dillon, drawing inspiration from the likes of Nick Cave, David Bowie and MGMT to deliver an intoxicating dose of experimental rock.

Labelled Brisbane’s next-generation trouble-makers, post-punkers CNT EVN will join The Bearded Lady lineup, set to ignite the stage with their unique bratty vocals and synth-punk sear. Closing out the list of locals is four-piece act Guppy; a well-seasoned act on the Brisbane circuit, bringing a fresh multi-instrumental presence to the crowd.

Swirling off from the Central Coast of Queensland, protest-rockers VOIID will lead the stacked, two-stage Greaser Bar lineup on April 30. A sound that can only be described as a drenched Young Henrys shirt, intertwined with a dash of Smashing Pumpkins, the quartet will deliver a fiery headline set, after already taking to the stages of Groovin’ The Moo and Gizzfest. Igniting the stage, and gearing up for the upcoming Inverted Festival tour the following day, is Sydney’s party-starters, FANGZ. Brace yourself for one energy-fuelled set of punk-rock bangers, and the odd Adidas tracksuit or two.

Next up on the Best Served Loud billing will be the three best pals of WALKEN. Expect a pop-fuelled frenzy of alternative rock and ambitious punk, set to satisfy the crowds’ nostalgia-ridden hearts. No strangers to the stages of Brisbane’s music circuit, is local six-piece June, with their unhinged take on neo-psychedelia, as well as local four-piece Jollee, joining the lineup with a dash of humour and old school rock n roll.

Ready to jump back into the live music arena is Queenslander, Sammm. Littered with bruised optimism over a mural coloured by dreamy indie-rock, Sammm. fans will have a chance to hear lucid indie tones overlaid with glimpses of angst. Rounding out the stellar Greaser Bar lineup is British-born vocalist, Loiter, with a fresh-yet-nostalgic delivery of alternate punk rock, as well as the new kids on the block, sunbleached; a project led by mates Joe, Bradley and Josh bringing a new flavour to a seasoned Brissy crowd.

Established in 2012 in the back streets of Newtown, Young Henrys’ ethos has always been to ‘serve the people’. Taking this mindset to the city of Brisbane, Best Served Loud will be championing the vibrant music scene while serving some of the best beer Australia has to offer. From pop, rock, all the way through to punk, Young Henrys is committed to bringing the best free parties to some of the country’s most beloved live music venues, continuing its support for local emerging and established talent.
