Otherside Brewing appoints head of sales

May 20, 2021 by Media Release

Western Australian hospitality and brewing group Triple-1-Three has announced a range of internal promotions and appointments for its brewing arm, Otherside Brewing Co.

Kyle Lyons has been promoted to head of sales. Kyle has been with Otherside since its inception and has been instrumental in the growth of the brand from a ‘gypsy brewer’ to one of WA’s fastest growing craft beer brands in just three years.

Joining Otherside in 2017, Kyle brought significant hospitality experience to the team having worked across venues such as Bathers Beach House, The Monk, Salt on the Beach in WA and Snow Pony, Peasant Boys Bean Squeezy in Victoria. Before joining in 2017, he was head of sales for WA’s most progressive, award winning coffee brands, Darkstar, personally driving the brand’s impressive evolution.

Commenting on his appointment Kyle said, “I’ve been very fortunate to be part of the Otherside team since it started. When I joined, we had just one brew under our brewing belt. Today. It’s one of WA’s fastest growing brands delivering a solid core range alongside continually evolving and experimental brew lines.

“It’s all driven by a fantastic culture and a deep commitment to quality and experimentation. I’m excited to take on the challenge of Head of Sales and continue the brand’s growth into new markets,” said Kyle.

Supporting Kyle is newly-promoted Courtney Bevilacqua. Courtney joined in 2019 to support the sales team and will now take on the role of Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator for Otherside.

A new addition to the team is Jody Carmichael. Jody joins the sales team bringing with her 14 years’ hospitality industry experience working with many notable Perth venues and brands including Little Creatures, Who’s Your Mumma, Bobeche, Ku De Ta and Four Pillars Gin.

Confirming the appointments, Triple-1-Three CEO, Al Taylor said, “following the challenges of 2020, we are thrilled to be expanding our team with these wonderful internal promotions and new appointments.

“Kyle has been a key team member passionately leading the Otherside sales strategy. Over the uncertainty of the last 12 months, he has proven himself as a leader with an innate ability to pivot, support and motivate.  He is an integral part of the team and of the long-term  growth strategy.

“We are also delighted to promote Courtney and to welcome Jody into the fold. Both have a lot of experience within the sector and they bring that knowledge, insight and enthusiasm with them into their new roles.” Mr Taylor said.
