New Beer Releases: March

March 26th


The Duke of Chifley and Timothy Tamothy Slamothy | Moon Dog Craft Brewery

Brewed between Moon Dog OG in Abbotsford and Moon Dog World in Preston, The Duke of Chifley is an extremely limited edition, 12.2% abv Starward Whisky Barrel Aged Barley Wine with caramel and dried fruit flavours.

Moon Dog‘s second new release, launching March 26th, is the Timothy Tamothy Slamothy (6.5% abv) Chocolate Biscuit Milk Stout – perfect for those who prefer a beer over Easter eggs.


Peaches & Cream | Wayward Brewing Co.

Wayward‘s upcoming release, a Peach and Vanilla Sour, features Australian peaches coupled with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, resulting in a vegan friendly, ice cream sundae beer.

Peaches & Cream (5.2% abv) will ship from 29th March.


Passionfruit Orange Guava Gose | Black Brewing Co.

For its Autumn seasonal release, Black Brewing Co. has brewed a salty, tropical and tangy Passionfruit Orange and Guava Gose (5.0% abv), available online now and from select stores and bars around Perth and the South West.


Cut The Red Wire and Living Easy | Deeds Brewing

Deeds Brewing has two new releases available from 29th March, starting with a double dry-hopped oat cream IPA.

Cut The Red Wire (7.0% abv) features Strata, Belma and Galaxy hops.

The second new release is a collaboration with menswear store, Up There, and Far Side Beers, called Living Easy (5.0% abv) – a Peach and Lime Sour with a Motueka dry-hop.


NEeD IPA – vol.3 | Bridge Road Brewers

For the third addition to its bi-monthly NEeD IPA series, Bridge Road has given a nod to the haze craze with NEeD IPA – vol.3 (6.5% abv).

With Idaho-7, Loral and Citra hops, NEeD – vol. 3 is available online now.


Watermelanie | Bodriggy Brewing Co.

Bodriggy Brewing Co.‘s Watermelanie (5.5% abv) is a tribute to an American craft beer classic, full of 2,000 litres of watermelon juice.


March 19th


The Woodsman | Wolf of the Willows

Wolf of the Willows has announced the return of its amber ale, with “notes of stone fruit hops” paired with toffee malts.

The Woodsman (4.5% abv) is available for delivery from Friday, March 19th.


DDH Stunner | Modus Operandi Brewing Co.

Featuring Columbus, Azacca and Galaxy hops, Modus Operandi‘s DDH Stunner (5.0% abv) is now available in cans following its success as a keg only brew.


Free Time | Bridge Road Brewers

After two years of development and refinement, Bridge Road is releasing Free Time (<0.5% abv), a non-alcoholic ale.

It will be released nationally over the coming weeks.


Flower Power Hazy Session Ale and Poseidon IIIPA | Bad Shepherd Brewing Co.

Bad Shepherd is releasing two new brews this week, the first of which is a collaboration with Blasta Brewing Co.

The Flower Power Hazy Session Ale (3.3% abv) features a key ingredient from each brewery’s home state: Victoria – a Melbourne ale yeast strain dating back to the 1900’s – and Western Australia – Geraldton Wax Flower.

 

The second release is the return of 2020 fan favourite, the Poseidon IIIPA (10% abv).

Featuring Galaxy, Vic Secret Mosaic and Simcoe hops, Poseidon is available now from the brewpub and online.


Azacca IPA | Akasha Brewing Company

The latest Akasha Project release showcases the citrus, grapefruit, mango, papaya and pine flavours of Azacca hops.

The Azacca IPA (6.8% abv) is available online now.


Freedom Units | Hawkers

A re-release of the 10.5% abv Triple IPA, Hawkers‘ tribute to the imperial system, Freedom Units, is now available for preorder.


The Bootlegger | CoConspirators Brewing Co.

CoConspirators‘ latest brew features Citra, Mosaic and Talus hops, giving it citrus, tropical fruits and grapefruit aromas.

The Bootlegger (6.7%) is available online now.


Super G.O.A.T | Black Hops Brewery

Following its success as a taproom exclusive in December 2020, Black Hops has brought back its Super G.O.A.T. as a March/April limited release.

Super G.O.A.T. features Mosaic, Amarillo and El Dorado hops and will be available from 12pm Wednesday, March 17th.


Rattenhund and Santa Fe | Hop Nation Brewing Co.

Hop Nation‘s two new releases this week start with Rattenhund, a 4.8% abv traditional pilsner with Perle and Spelt Select hops.

The second new release is the Santa Fe Valencia orange hazy IPA (6.0% abv), featuring a double dry hop of Amarillo , Mosaic and Simcoe hops.


Barrel Aged Cherry Brett Saison | Stomping Ground Brewing Co.

Stomping Ground‘s latest Into The ‘Wood release is the Barrel Aged Cherry Brett Saison (6.5% abv), “brewed with a combination of Belgian Saison yeast and Brettanomyces” according to its brewer’s notes.

It is available now online, from the Beer Hall and at local independent bottleshops.


March 12th


Double Juice Train and Hypercolor | Deeds Brewing

Deeds Brewing has announced two upcoming releases, the first of which is an updated version of the brewery’s first hazy.

Double Juice Train doubles the hops – Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe and Galaxy – of the original Juice Train, resulting in a 9.0% abv Double NEIPA.

Deed’s second release, the Hypercolor California IPA (6.8% abv), features Idaho 7, Motueka and Simcoe hops.

Both new releases will be available from March 17th.


Raspberry Sweetart, Leaf Peeper and O’Seana | Bright Brewery

As the weather begins to cool in the High Country, Bright Brewery is releasing three new Autumn beers.

The first new release is the Raspberry Sweetart Sour Ale (4.3% abv), kettle-soured with Lactobacillus and an addition of raspberry puree.

Bright’s Leaf Peeper Red IPA (6.5% abv) features red malt and caramel sweetness, while its O’Seana Irish Stout (4.5% abv) has aromas of “dark roasted coffee paired with bittersweet chocolate” according to brewer’s notes.

The three new beers are will be previewed live on Facebook from 6pm Friday, March 12th.


International Women’s Day (March 8th)


Warrior Woman | Two Birds Brewing

Two Birds Brewing has announced its annual International Women’s Day Beer with the Warrior Woman Juicy Pale Ale (4.9% abv).

Warrior Woman has citrus and tropical fruit hop flavours with the addition of pineapple juice.

It will be available from Friday, March 5th.

Riot Girl Punch | Modus Operandi Brewing Co.

Modus Operandi‘s International Women’s day brew is a 5.0% abv Saison, created, brewed and marketed by an all-female team.

Riot Girl Punch features Magnum and Jester hops, giving it a floral perfume and notes of lemon myrtle and will be available from Monday, March 8th.

Milkshake IPA | Capital Brewing Co.

Capital Brewing Co. is creating a beer inspired by the National Gallery of Australia’s Know My Name initiative in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The Milkshake IPA will be released in late March with proceeds from the sale of the beer to be used to support women in the brewing industry.

Tea Break | Gage Roads Brew Co.

To celebrate this International Women’s Day, an all-female crew at Gage Roads have come together to create Tea Break (5.0% abv) – an Earl Grey Pale Ale with Lemon Aspen.

Frida XPA | Akasha Brewing x Reckless Brewing Co.

Packed with Sabro and Mosaic hops, the Frida XPA (4.2% abv) is an International Women’s Day collaboration between Akasha Brewing and Reckless Brewing Co.

The XPA has flavours of papaya, citrus and coconut, according to brewer’s notes, and proceeds will go to the Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre, “a non-government, not-for-profit clinic delivering low-cost and affordable medical, allied and complementary health care and education to improve women’s health”.


March 5th


Milk Stout, Sign Wizard, Cube NEPA and Mixed Berry Compass Sour | Braeside Brewing Co.

Braeside Brewing Co. has canned four new limited releases beginning with a 6% abv Milk Stout, described as having notes of coffee and roasted malt bitterness along with toffee and burnt sweetness.

Sign Wizard (7.8% abv) is a double IPA brewed with Citra, Amarillo and Chinook hops, giving the beer grapefruit characters.

Cube NEPA (5.9% abv) blends Kviek and English ale yeast strains along with Mosaic, Lotus and Bravo hops for flavours of tangerine, candied orange and white peach.

The final new release is the 6% abv Mixed Berry Compass Sour, a combination of blackberry and strawberry, with a flavour profile of stewed berries, mild tartness and a zesty finish.


The Syndicate | Deeds Brewing x Beer Cartel

Beer Cartel and Deeds Brewing have collaborated for a 6% abv hazy.

The Syndicate is heavily dry hopped with Sabro, Mosaic and Motueka hops and will be exclusively available at Beer Cartel.
