The Pink Boots Society Australia Chapter is proud to announce the celebration of its 10th anniversary with a momentous 10 collaboration brew days.

This year finds the international Pink Boots Society organization celebrating 15 years since inception, and the Australian chapter an exciting 10 years. Face to face meetings and annual collaboration brew days have been on hold for the past two years, so the festivities will be going on the road with ten brew days to celebrate ten years, showcasing our member growth throughout the country, in both regional and metro areas. These brew days will take place in seven states throughout the year and feature a world-first Pink Boots Society gin creation collaboration day. The theme to tie these all together will be highlighting courageous conversations.

It was during Good Beer Week in 2012 that founding president Jayne Lewis officially declared the chapter with the US organization. The Women of Beer was created in 2010, with a stage show during Melbourne Food and Wine Festival featuring Kirrily Waldhorn, Jayne Lewis, Karen Golding, Nardia Mcgrath, Beth Walkenhorst and Sam Fuss and a following collaboration brew at True South brewery with the brew of Ninkasi’s Angel.

After a fortuitous introduction to Pink Boots Society’s founder, Teri Fahrendorf, the women of beer in Australia formed a board and set up as a not-for-profit organization locally.

“We started Pink Boots in Australia in 2012 with an incredible group of women, and we’re excited to collaborate with members, women and non-binary individuals to now be celebrating our 10th anniversary in Australia,” says President Tiffany Waldron, “we wanted to find a way to include as many members as possible, and collaboration brew days are our biggest fundraising effort every year. The board is thrilled to join in on the fun throughout Australia.”

Brew days will be announced on social media channels @pinkbootsau, Facebook.com/PinkBootsSocietyAustralia and Linkedin.com/company/pink-boots-society-australia, kicking off with the gin making day at Brogan’s Way on 11 April 2022.
