Following experimentation with botanicals for its Hopped Gin, @goatbeer has utilised them once again for its latest brew.
Rare Breed is a 6.8% abv Botanical IPA brewed with Juniper, coriander, cubeb and yuzu along with Citra and Taiheke hops, giving it zesty, and citrusy characters.
Tasting notes describe the IPA as being "like a breakfast juice with a splash of gin marmalade".

@goatbeer has combined six New Zealand specialty malts (Ale, Munich, Dark Chocolate, Gladiator, Crystal, and Eclipse Wheat) to brew its new 9.0% abv Barrel Aged Blended Porter.

This latest addition to Mountain Goat’s limited edition Rare Breed series was aged in rum barrels from Australia’s oldest registered distillery, Beenleigh Rum Distillery, giving it deep flavours of chocolate and rum.

It will be available in stores this week.
