A Day on the Cans

March 30, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm

PSA: Brand New Festival Alert – A Day on the Cans

Festival and beer industry heavy hitters have combined forces to pull together a brand-new festival concept, A Day on the Cans – Music, Beer, Art, Food.

A Day on the Cans (ADOTC) is a one stage music festival that will take place on the grounds of the brand spanking new Pirate Life Brewery in Port Adelaide on Saturday March 30th 2019.

The inaugural event will feature hip-hop royalty Drapht (in full live band mode), Melbourne indie rockers The Delta Riggs and Press Club, West Aussie revivalists The Southern River Band, local heroes Young Offenders and the best new local talent Madura Green, Wing Defense and Oscar The Wild all hosted by DJ and MC Mr. Trials (you may know him from such successful, award winning, hip hop duos as A.B. Original).

The team, Aaron Sandow and Gareth Lewis (General Admission Entertainment, Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival and countless music festivals including Groovin’ The Moo, Soundwave and FOMO) along with Jack Cameron (Pirate Life Brewing) aim to take the tour on the road around the country to under-loved industrial brewery spaces but are excited to present the first incarnation of ADOTC in their home town at Port Adelaide.

“The Port revival is in full swing and we can’t wait to show people what we have done with the old Dalgety Wool building, it’s a pretty bloody cool space to throw a music festival” said Jack Cameron.

Aaron Sandow, music director, is proud to present a diverse lineup exclusive to A Day on the Cans.

“Drapht plays an amazing party set that will finish off the day nicely, and we think The Delta Riggs and Press Club are two of the best live bands in the country right now. If you haven’t seen or heard The Southern River Band hit them up on YouTube, they are like Led Zeppelin trapped in teenagers’ bodies. And it’s pretty cool to have Mr. Trials (one half of the critical and commercial juggernaut A.B. Original) on the decks in between sets in the role of host to keep the party going.”

In addition to a full day of on point music programming ADOTC will welcome the Wonderwalls – The Big Picture Festival curated by local street art guru Joel Van Moore (aka Vans the Omega) which will see two huge water tanks painted live on site during the festival. The food programme will be released closer to festival date but with part of the team behind Beer & BBQ on board you can expect something pretty hot. Plus tattoo shop, barbers and markets.

ADOTC will debut Saturday March 30th from 2pm ‘til 11pm. The event is strictly 18+ and tickets are limited!

First release general admission tickets are $70 plus booking fee until sold out, second and final release tickets will be $80 plus booking fee until sold out.

All tickets on sale via the website www.adayonthecans.com.au and the Facebook page and directly via EventBrite from 10am Thursday December 13th – the perfect xmas gift for anyone who likes music or beer!
