Craft Beer lovers will head for Picabar in the Perth Cultural Centre this Sunday to countdown Australia Hottest 100 Beers.
The much-anticipated annual GABS Hottest 100 countdown will be streamed live with local heroes including Gage Roads, Nail, Beer Farm, Feral and Little Creatures all expected to poll well and a stack of new WA breweries hoping to break into the list.
And if it’s it on tap, its $5 schooners for the next hour!
So, what’s on tap and will they make the list (hint: they will):
Coopers Pale Ale (#26 last year)
Alby Lager (released 2018)
Stone & Wood Pacific Ale (last year’s runner-up)
Balter XPA (the current title holder)
Nail VPA (#31)
Gage Roads Little Dove (#11)
Green Beacon Windjammer (#36)
Come down and cheer on the local contenders or your favourite brew. It starts early for we West Aussie folk with the first 10 beers announced at 9.35pm. Ease into the long weekend Sunday with a Bacon and Egg Roll, $5 schooners and like-minded friends.
Can’t beat that!
GABS (Great Australian Beer Spectacular) has been running its Hottest 100 counting down Australia’s best Craft Beers since 2008 when Little Creature’s took out the inaugural title. Go Sandgropers!
Picabar is a small independent bar in the Perth Cultural Centre committed to supporting craft beers on all taps.
