Oktoberfest, is September?
Traditionally, Oktoberfest starts in the third weekend in September and ends on the first Sunday of October. This year Oktoberfest runs from the 22nd September to 7th October in Munich, and we’re celebrating the weekend before here in Sydney!
Taking place at the beautiful Doltone House, Australian Technology Park, Eveleigh, this incredible building rivals the great Bavarian beer halls of Germany, and will play host to the most traditional Oktoberfest event Sydney has seen, with German oompah bands, folk dancing, on-stage comps and an atmosphere that is guaranteed to be electric.
Tickets on sale Wednesday, 18 July from 9am.
Along with its sister event in Melbourne, Royal Sydney Oktoberfest will offer beers from 5 of the official Oktoberfest-breweries! In fact, there will be over 50 different imported German beers on offer, plus cider, wine, schnapps and much more.
To tantalise your taste buds, the event will feature numerous German caterers serving up traditional meals such as pork hocks, schnitzels, bratwurst and other German sausages, brathendl (roast chickens), pretzels and German pastries.
Royal Sydney Oktoberfest runs over 2 sessions (Day Session and Evening Session), so with tickets strictly limited make sure you don’t miss out.
