Join us here amidst some of the North East’s most picturesque roads for the 10th annual Tour De Beechworth.
This is your chance to embrace the mid-winter darkness in the depths of a High Country July. Whether you’re a TDB tragic, a family support crew or a died in the wool cycling fan, Tour De Beechworth 2019 is a must on your calendar.
Saddle up for a tour of the best winter tarmac and gravel Beechworth has to offer. There are two recommended road loops to cater for all riders, plus bonus gravel only loops planned by local outfit Gravelmob and led by Melbourne legends, Curve Cycling.
Road: For first timers – The Two Peaks Stanley ride, up to 40km, 100% tarmac, suitable for riders of all levels with turnaround and roll home from all points. For confident riders capable of riding 4+ hours – a 120km, 90% tarmac loop with 2000m of vertical through the rolling hills of the region with three quality gravel sections. Food stops at 50km in Yackandandah, and at 80km where you’ll meet up with the gravel crew before a solid KOM climb to more refreshments (105km) and a final regroup before rolling back to the brewery.
Gravel: A 75km, 90% gravel loop with 1500m of vertical on excellent gravel backroads and tracks north and south of Beechworth. Meet up with the road crew at 40km at the first food stop before tackling the KOM climb at 65km and regrouping before rolling home.
All rides are TOTALLY UNSUPPORTED and are at riders own risk.

Whether you’ve ridden or not join us for a provincial dinner between the brewery tanks, with virtual attendance from SBS face of Le Tour; Mike Tomalaris. This Beechworth feast will showcase the best produce of the Victorian High Country. The dinner is by reservation only and places will disappear fast. Three casual courses of Franco – Australian fare, including a selection of cheeses, to get us through the tour stage. Drinks at bar prices. Dinner guests will also be able to interact via a live Skype cross to SBS presenter Mike Tomalaris live from France.

We encourage families and friends to cheer on the riders at our finish line village at Murmungee Lookout. We’ll also have family-friendly activities back at the brewery in the afternoon and into the evening. And encourage non-riding cycling buffs to get amongst the festivities in what is a cracking weekend.
