This is a great opportunity to join Fermentis, a global leader in the fermented beverage ingredients industry. With substantial global capability in R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing, they are a world leader in their product group servicing the brewing, distilling and winemaking sectors. Due to a reorganisation in the Asia Pacific region, this new role will provide Technical Support to the Regional Sales Director and Regional Sales Managers.
You will play a lead role across the Asia Pacific in contributing to the technical capability of the Regional Sales team. A strong interface with the customer base is a key element of this role as you manage trials and product development with customers. As the public face in international trade conferences and scientific forums, you will be directly involved in advancing the Company’s marketing communications strategy. You will interact with your international technical colleagues regularly to drive the Innovation Agenda. The role will involve considerable international travel. The role is ideally Shanghai-based, although Singapore and possibly Sydney would also be considered.
Circa five years’ experience preferably in the brewing/distilling industries and potentially in the wine industry (or a combination!) is required so that you have the industry credibility and networks. A capacity to manage multiple projects whilst preparing and delivering presentations means you are highly organised. A creative mindset will enable you to develop innovative solutions for new beverage types, production processes, etc. Strong academic credentials are essential – a relevant science-based degree combined with further studies to Masters or IBD qualifications in brewing and related disciplines.
