Garage Project is an award winning brewery, based out of an old petrol station in Wellington. We love brewing at a prolific rate, pushing the boundaries and challenging the notions of what beer can be.

Our Brewers take an active role in all aspects of production and packaging at Garage Project – working as part of a dynamic team to follow best practice in the production of exceptional beer. We pay rigorous attention to all aspects of quality control, keeping accurate up-to-date records and maintaining a clean and safe working environment, to ensure a quality end product for our customers. The role will involve cellar work and the safe handling of product, all aspects of brewing the product, and providing support across the production process including packaging at times.
About you
You’re a brewer with previous experience in the brewing industry and you can demonstrate a good understanding of the entire brewing process – from fermentation and cellaring, to stock monitoring, brewing to recipes, keeping a clean environment and everything in between.
In particular, you will need to demonstrate:
- Around 2 years’ professional brewery experience in a commercial brewery
- A good knowledge of brewing on kits 20HL or more
- A good level of understanding in using lab equipment, especially Anton-Paar DMA 35, Alex 500, C-BoxQC At-line.
- A clear understanding of key quality and spoilage issues in beer
- A level of strength & stamina appropriate to the demands of the role
- NZ Forklift License
- Current, clean NZ drivers licence
- Focus, effective time management, and accurate / timely record keeping
