Located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, our brewery is in its 6th year of operation. Having experienced amazing growth, we are now on the hunt for an experienced Production Brewer to join our small but energetic team.
We are determined to grow the Craft Beer community and we are looking for a knowledgeable individual who can share our dreams and vision to create interesting beers of high quality with long and lingering flavours.
We have invested in state of the art equipment (30 HL Braukon system and Leibinger bottler) and we respectfully believe that our people are the greatest asset that we have. We support education and encourage career progressions.
This position has become available as our current Senior Brewer will be moving to Queensland and while we are sad to see him go, we embrace the opportunity that this brings.
What we are looking for:
- Production Brewer with a minimum of 5 years experiences
- Qualifications as Brewer or associated Degree Qualifications
- Sound technical understanding
Reporting to the Head Brewer/Operations Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of beer production in the brewery’s brewhouse operation, cellaring, packaging, cleaning, quality control and shift supervision.
As a member of our small production team, your role will initially be divided approximately 50/50, being a hands-on team member, rotating between brewing, filling/kegging, cellar and cleaning duties and partaking in elements of logistics, and actively managing the brewing and packaging operation.
The duties and responsibilities for the latter include:
- Implement weekly production schedules and meet agreed production and quality targets.
- Assist Head brewer in production scheduling
- Assure all required record keeping and quality control aspects are met
- Together with the Head Brewer, develop Standard Operating procedures
- Ensure adequate raw material stocks are on site
- Ensure good housekeeping practices are implemented and followed
What we offer:
This is a full-time, permanent position; some shift work will be required. A competitive salary package will be offered to the right candidate based on skills and experiences. A generous beer allowance, staff meal discounts and education support is part of this position. We are a hard working bunch with a focus on quality, but we love having fun and sharing a beer or two. This role is a great opportunity for the right person and with an increase in production volume, this will grow into a more autonomous position.
