In its second year, Brewsvegas 2015 saw over 120 events spread across more than 60 venues for the week-long festival, representing strong growth on the inaugural event in 2014. With this year’s festivities having barely faded from our happy city’s collective memory, the team behind Brewsvegas have been back at it and busy again after a short break. We received a lot of positive feedback about Brewsvegas 2015 and plenty of great suggestions of what could be done to improve and build upon the festival for next year, and so it is after careful planning and consideration that we announce with great pleasure the dates for next year’s festival.
The dates for Brewsvegas 2016 will be from Saturday the 12th of March through to Sunday the 20th of March. Now a little longer than a week, BV16 will take in two full weekends to make it easier for everyone to plan their ultimate Brewsvegas experience. A launch party will again be held to open the festival on the eve of the first day, Friday the 11th of March.
For now, throw those dates in your diary and keep your eyes peeled for more announcements in the coming months. Do you own or run a brewery or venue and want to get involved by putting a Brewsvegas event on? Register your interest at [email protected] and keep an eye on our website; early bird online submissions are open from the 18th of October.
Brewsvegas is a grass roots, community minded celebration of Brisbane’s craft beer culture set to run from the 12th to the 20th of March, 2016. We aim to promote innovation, creativity and collaboration to help nurture and grow a local beer scene already replete with passionate contributors.
The team behind Brewsvegas hail from some of Brisbane’s smallest and biggest craft beer venues, restaurants and breweries. A not for profit organisation, Brewsvegas’ primary aim is to introduce as many people as possible to the joy of better beer, and to celebrate the scene serving that purpose every day of the year.
