Attention beer lovers bound for the inaugural Great Australian Beer Festival in Geelong next weekend – the party starts on Friday night and will continue after the festival gates are closed.

The Odyssey Tavern and Brewery, on the outskirts of Geelong, has been announced as the official party venue for the cast, crew and attendees of the Geelong Great Australian Beer Festival (GABF).

BEFORE GABF

First, The Odyssey will be holding the official GABF Pre-Party next Friday night, 1st February.

Come along and you will be able to mix with some of the lovely GABF brewers before the festival, while enjoying many of theirtasty crafty creations. This is your chance to warm up your drinking arm and make sure your rhythm is right for the following day.

The party is open to all, but seating space is limited. Bookings are essential if you want to secure a table. Otherwise, just rock up for a drink later in the night.

The kitchen will be open until 9:00pm and there will be live music from 8.30pm until late. The venue will be open until 1:00am for those who just can’t get enough.

Avoid driving by catching a Route 74 bus, which runs from the centre of Geelong all day and taxi’s are easy to get hold of later in the night.

AFTER GABF

Then on Saturday night, 2nd February, after a big day of beer, music, workshops, gourmet food and all round fun at the Great Australian Beer Festival, Odyssey will host the official After-Party from 6:00pm to 12:30pm.

Entry will be strictly limited to priority guests and limited numbers. To secure entry on the night you will need to purchase a GABF ticket from the venue or online using the Odyssey promo code prior to January 31.

Those who have already purchased tickets using the Odyssey promo code have automatically been added to the list.

If you would like to add extras names (max 2) to the list alongside your entry, please send names to [email protected]

There will be a courtesy bus from the festival to The Odyssey at the end of the day. Seats are limited as there will be only one pick up and drop off. Departure time to be confirmed.

Please change your festival nickname. It is very confusing when you see GABF as a heading. There already is a GABF in the craft beer industry.Possibly replase the word Great with something else.
