“Are you tired and in need of a break? Looking for a holiday that combines ALL of your favourite activities*? Perhaps you’ve been bogged down at work, peeling onions, assisting with corporate grooming or playing Telephone Tag with friends.
Maybe you’ve upset the wrong people and you’re just worried about finding a Clydesdale’s head under your sheets. How about a nice beer (correctly labelled, of course) with people who feel the same about provenance as you do? Sound too good to be true? But wait, there’s more…
You’ll get to visit breweries and meet the brewers, share in tasting sessions and lovely meals and be transported thoughtfully about the countryside in comfort while being accommodated at nights in comfortable surrounds. Need more reason to read on?

How about this; it’s overseas!! In The United States of America!!! Where they have loads of really good beer! {Although this piece is written in the form of a cheesy late-night advertisement, Craft Beer Tours have paid no money to have the piece published. It is, as always, a way of supporting people who are promoting good beer and good beer culture. If they then wish to support Brews News in a monetary form, well, you know, that’s up to them (holds hands out in pathetic ‘Oliver’ style beseech position)}
Sounds great, I did a similar trip up the West Coast about a year ago. I’m sure you’re not lacking for breweries to visit, especially in Portland, but I would highly recommend a trip to the Cascade Barrel House, some of the most innovative beers I’ve ever tried.
Elysian (in Seattle) is well worth a visit, too. Enjoy the trip!
Thanks – will be planning to visit Elysian, and will add the Cascade Barrel House
Ummm the price on the flyer($4199) is less than the price in the article($4999)….. thats some very odd “honing down”
I’ll look into that. I simply cut & pasted the Media Release-type info and stuck a link to the e-flyer. Will get the organisers to sort out and confirm.
yep the NZD price is 4999 the AUD price is 4199. Sorry bout the confusion.
Sorry for the delay in answering that – its Waitangi day in lil ole NZ and we are partaking of some Liberty Alpha Dogg
I was just in the US and visited a few of these places (and drank the products of plenty more). Can’t recommend it enough! Yhe drive through California and along the Oregon coast is awesome, especially if the other 2% of your interests are in wine.
Gotta go to Hair of the dog in portland!
