Brunswick’s Better Community Day

April 2, 2014 by Media Release

Brunswick’s favourite local drop – Brunswick Bitter – is hosting its second “Brunswick’s Better” Community Day to showcase and promote local businesses, craft manufactures and food purveyors, and you’re invited.

Event poster for Brunswick's Better Community Day 2Open to the public, the community day will be held at Thunder Road Brewing Company, makers of Brunswick Bitter, at 130 Barkly Street (corner of Lygon and Barkly) and will run from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.

This is the second in a series of monthly community days hosted at the brewery designed to highlight the diversity, quality and creativity of great locally based small businesses and what they can offer to Brunswick’s residents.

A central part of Thunder Road Brewing Company’s business philosophy is to concentrate on brewing great craft beer locally, expanding job opportunities in the suburb and contributing to the wider Brunswick community.

The first event, held on March 1, drew over 900 attendees from Brunswick and the surrounding suburbs.

The community day will feature local food and beverage offerings, craft manufactures, local businesses, family entertainment, face painting for the kids and many other activities.

At 3:30 pm, blues legend Ian Collard, of Collard Greens and Gravy and Three Kings fame, will be performing.

Tours of the brewery and beer tastings will also be offered throughout the day.

For further event details, visit the Thunder Road Brewing Facebook page.
