Mountain Goat releases coffee porter

July 20, 2015 by James Atkinson

MOU230 Seedy Goat Coffee Porter Decal_FA_out-01Mountain Goat has released the third of its collaboration beers with Melbourne coffee roaster Seven Seeds.

The previous two collaborations were IPAs, matching hops to the fruity elements of coffee.

The latest, Seedy Goat Coffee Porter, uses the chocolate malt in the beer to meld with the roast coffee notes.

The beer’s malt bill also includes ale, vienna, crystal and roast wheat, while it is hopped with Fuggles and Ella.

Mountain Goat says the beer has a full mouthfeel, with a noticeable mocha finish and “balanced roastiness, bitterness and sweetness”.

With an ABV of 6.4 per cent and 30 IBUs, Seedy Goat is available now in 640ml bottles through selected retailers.
