Lion has closed its beer and wine e-commerce platform, MoCu, which launched in November 2016.
MoCu, which stands for Modern Curations Gallery, took its last orders on December 15, a company spokesperson told Brews News.
“Lion regularly reviews its marketing operations and digital platforms to ensure they are suitable and sustainable for both the short term and our future growth needs,” he said.
“These reviews have resulted in Lion making the difficult decision to close down the MoCU platform.
“When we started our MoCU journey we always said this would be a test and learn experience for us in the e-commerce world.
“We remain committed to our e-commerce journey and feel that making this decision now allows us to take stock of our strategy and plan for the future.”
