Gage Roads Brewing’s Single Fin becomes Australia’s fastest growing craft beer brand

Gage Road Brewing Co’s Single Fin summer ale is the fastest growing craft beer brand in the country.

The latest figures released by off-premise data agency IRI show that Single Fin sales grew faster than any other craft beer brand (source: IRI MarketEdge MAT 04/11/18).

The data also shows that Single Fin accounts for 69% of the national annual growth in the summer ale category.

“Single Fin is resonating strongly with customers and beer lovers. The craft beer space is highly competitive, so we’re excited by the result,” says Gage Roads managing director John Hoedemaker.

Overall, the national craft beer market increased by 10.8% with Gage Roads Brewing outperforming the sector to grow by 54%, delivering the brewer a significant rise in market share.

“These results show that customer demand for Single Fin and Gage Roads brands are accelerating. Beer drinkers are seeking it out in higher numbers than ever before, which is great news for retailers stocking Gage Roads beer,” says John Hoedemaker.

The news comes as Gage Roads launches Single Fin into cans. It’s the first time the brewer has released cans into the market. Single Fin cans have been released nationally in an unique 24 can block format.
