Bridge Road Brewers ‘Magical Easter Unicorn’

Bridge Road Brewers this week announced the launch of its annual Magical Easter Unicorn Chocolate Ale release. This year, Magical Easter Unicorn fans can expect an “even better”, “more balanced” iteration of previous releases.

Best served in a decapitated chocolate rabbit, egg or bilby, this chocolate ale tastes just like it sounds.

Two Birds Brewing ‘Piña Dorada’

Piña Dorada is a golden and full-bodied pale ale brewed with El Dorado, Galaxy, Ekuanot and Citra hops. This hazy, juicy pale comes in at 5.5% ABV and offers up expressions of mango, citrus and pineapple.

Holgate Brewhouse ‘Alpha Crucis’

Victoria’s Holgate Brewhouse has released its first core range can. The Alpha Crucis Australian XPA is a 5.5% ABV extra pale ale full of Ella, Galaxy and Topaz hops.

Named after the brightest star in the Southern Cross Constellation, Alpha Crucis is sweet, tropical and zingy with moderate bitterness and a dry finish typical of an Aussie XPA.

Holgate Brewhouse ‘Hazy IPA’

Holgate has also this week announced the release of a limited run Hazy IPA.

Although originally not intentionally cloudy, this Hazy IPA has been brewed with Amarillo, Azacca and Mosaic hops and a melange of Pale, Munich, Crystal and Carapils malts, as well as oats and wheat.

Holgate’s Hazy IPA is brewed with a percentage of rolled wheat
and oats to give a silky mouthfeel to complement the juicy hop character. The brewery says to think mango nectar, orange and peach.

Moon Dog Craft Brewery ‘Edie’s IPA’

Moon Dog Craft Brewery will today launch the first beer in its latest “new approach” IPA series.

Edie’s IPA is described by the brewery as a crushable, piney, citrusy and smooth IPA. Eureka hops were added in the whirlpool to give resinous, dark fruit characters followed by dry hop additions of Centennial and Citra to add tropical and floral notes.

The brewery has said that Edie herself sniffed out the ingredients.

Edie’s IPA comes in at 5.8% ABV and is now available in 440ml cans.

Revel Brewing Co ‘The Sharman’

Revel Brewing Co has partnered with Brisbane’s Tippler’s Tap to brew a special wet-hop release.

At 6.5% ABV, this Enigma wet hopped beer is super limited with only 50 cases available for purchase. Web orders are for pre-sale and pick up only from the brewery at 41 Oxford Street Bulimba at 3pm on Friday, April 5.
