Pineapple Squeak and Extra Extra-Hop Sauce | Sauce Brewing
Sauce Brewing has two new releases this week, starting with the Pineapple Squeak (6.2% abv).
Initially released as part of Beer Cartel’s 2020 Advent Calendar, this pineapple NEIPA is brewed with BRU-1 hops.
Sauce’s second new release takes the brewery’s Extra-Hop Sauce and gives it an upgrade with more malt and more Mosaic, Idaho 7 and Citra hops, earning its name – Extra Extra-Hop Sauce (8.2% abv).
Season’s Greetings Hazy IPA | Otherside Brewing Co.
Otherside Brewing Co. has rebooted its 2019 Christmas Eve release, with the new Season’s Greetings Hazy IPA.
Featuring Galaxy, Mosaic, Simcoe and Apollo hops, the Hazy IPA is available now at the Otherside Brewhouse and Freo.Social, and will be available at participating retailers from next week.
The Shape of Hops To Come | Akasha Brewing Company
Akasha Brewing Company‘s new triple dry-hopped collaboration with Hopheads showcases Azacca, El Dorado and Citra hops.
Initially a 2019 keg-only collaboration, The Shape of Hops To Come (6.5% abv) has flavours of “citrus, mango, pineapple and pear” according to the brewers.
It is available now from the Akasha website.
Lunch At Mum’s Kiwi & Passionfruit Sour Brut | Bodriggy Brewing Co.
Bodriggy Brewing Co.‘s pavlova-inspired beer is brewed to be paired with bon-bons, paper crowns and mum’s pavlova – all part of a classic Australian holiday.
Lunch At Mum’s Kiwi & Passionfruit Sour Brut (5.5% abv) is described in tasting notes as having flavours of passionfruit and kiwi with “subtle hints of vanilla and sweet meringue”.
It is available now.
Peach Sour | Bridge Road Brewers
Bridge Road Brewers has announced a limited release of its new Peach Sour (4.3% abv).
Brewed in the style of a traditional German Gose with the addition of 500kg of yellow peaches, Peach Sour is available now.
Lost in the Fog and Sour 02 | Modus Operandi Brewing
After its exclusive debut as part of the 2020 GABS Festival mixed pack, Modus Operandi Brewing’s Lost in the Fog XPA (5.0% abv) has returned just in time for Summer.
The brewery’s second release in its Sour series is a margarita sour with “a delicate note of Tequila and juicy sweet citrus and lime”.
Both new brews are available now from the Modus site.
Hazy Mid | Wayward Brewing Co.
Wayward Brewing Co. has announced a new addition to the brewery’s core range with the Hazy Mid (3.5% abv).
Brewed with Citra, Simcoe and Chinook hops, Hazy Mid will be available from Friday, December 11th.

Stomping Ground Brewing Co.’s latest 2020 Into The ‘Wood release is a 6.2% abv Flanders Red Ale, aged in Hanging Rock shiraz and pinot noir barrels.
The brewery’s second limited release is a makeover of its Watermelon Smash.
The Watermelon, Cucumber & Mint Smash (4.2% abv) is available now from the Stomping Ground website.
California Common, Compass Peach Sour, Business As Usual, Nepean Palms and Side By Side | Braeside Brewing Co.
With its final canning run of 2020, Braeside Brewing Co. has announced five new limited releases.
- California Common (4.7% abv), also called “steam ale” — technically a lager fermented at ale temperatures, with origins dating back to during the gold rush period.
- Compass Peach Sour (6.0% abv) — featuring Citra hops and peach puree.
- Business As Usual (7.0% abv) — a double pale ale featuring Mosaic and Eureka hops, celebrating Melbourne’s gradual return to normal.
- Nepean Palms (6.5% abv) — a fruity oat cream ale brewed with Galaxy, Citra and Lotus hops.
- Side By Side (3.5% abv) — a hop sour brewed in collaboration with Farside Beers.
The Orchard, Ginger Beer, Mystic and Hellfire | Bright Brewery
Bright Brewery has announced four new Summer releases, starting with the return of the brewery’s best-selling The Orchard (6.5% abv).
This hoppy NEIPA is brewed with Galaxy, Apollo, Citra, Suntana and Amarillo hops resulting in a “hazy, juicy, fruity” brew.
Bright’s second summer release is a 4.0% abv Ginger Beer, brewed with Australian Buderim ginger.
Another returning brew is the Mystic DDH DIPA (9.0% abv), named for the town’s Mystic Park.
The final summer release is the third in the brewery’s MountainCrafted core range – the malty and nutty 5.0% abv Hellfire Amber Ale.
Fiscal Damage, Breakfast of Kings and Party At The Border | Deeds Brewing
Deeds Brewing’s Fiscal Damage (9.5% abv) is a triple dry-hopped hazy showcasing Motueka, Mosaic Cryo, Mosaic and Warrior hops.
Deed’s second new release is inspired by the King himself, Elvis Presley.
Breakfast of Kings (10.0% abv) is an imperial breakfast pastry stout brewed in honour of the King’s breakfast dish, with additions of peanut butter, banana, bacon and maple syrup.
Party At The Border (8.9% abv) is a double dry-hopped oat cream double IPA showcasing the best hops from New South Wales and fresh stonefruit from Victoria.
Brewed in collaboration with One Drop Brewing Co., Party At The Border features Galaxy, Eclipse and Ella hops as well as fresh apricot, peach and mango.
All three limited releases will be available from 16th December.
Spacemilk 6 | Bodriggy Brewing Co.
Bodriggy Brewing Co.’s sixth Spacemilk beer has arrived with the Paw Paw, Lime and Pepperberry Lactose Sour (3.0% abv).
Brewed with Negronis, Long Island Iced Teas and Singapore Slings in mind, Spacemilk 6 is available now.
Summer Raspberry Sour and Ay Caumba! Pineapple Lime Sour | Black Brewing Co.
Margaret River brewery Black Brewing Co. has brewed a lactobacillus kettle-soured beer packed with fresh raspberries.
The 5.0% abv beer launched last weekend at Mane Liquor’s infamous Carpark Party and punters at Palace Arcade and La Cabana were also treated to the new beer at their Summer Release parties.
The Raspberry Sour is now available at a number of Perth and the South West’s bars and craft beer specialist liquor stores. Available in 375ml cans and 4 packs, plus 50-litre kegs.
Also, in collaboration with the Norfolk Hotel in Fremantle, Black has released the special edition Ay Carumba! Pineapple Lime sour, which was tapped on Monday 7th December and will be available at the hotel while stocks last.
Into The Forest, I Go | Hawkers Beer
Hawkers Beer has announced the return of its mixed berry kettle sour, now with a reduced abv of 4.0%.
Into The Forest, I Go showcases aromas of raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, according to the brewer.
It is available now from the Hawkers online store and from the cellar door.
Sunny Daze | Hemingway’s Brewery
The first release in Hemingway’s Brewery’s Summer Seasonal range is a 5.2% abv Hazy Pale Ale.
Tasting notes describe Sunny Daze as having aromas of honeydew melon and strawberry.
It is available now online and from the Hemingway’s venue.
Deck the Hall St Cherry Sour | Two Birds Brewing
Two Birds Brewing’s Christmas beer pays tribute to the brewery and its recently-built outdoor space at 136 Hall Street.
The Deck the Hall St Cherry Sour (4.0% abv) is available now online and on tap at the Two Birds venue The Nest.
Hazy Pale Ale | Moo Brew
In celebration of the Tasmanian summer, Moo Brew has brewed a Hazy Pale Ale full of Motueka and Citra hops.
It is available now from the Moo Brew online store.
Break Yo’ Fast | Bad Shepherd Brewing Co.
Bad Shepherd Brewing Co. has released a ‘brekkie beer’ for the brewery’s 5th birthday.
Break Yo’ Fast is a 5.0% abv Maple Bacon Amber Ale and is available now for a limited time from the Bad Shepherd website.
Endless Haze | Akasha Brewing Company
Akasha Brewing Company’s Endless Haze (4.2% abv) has made its return.
For this brew, Akasha has taken its Pale Ale style and added notes of stonefruit and tropical fruit.
With flavours of peach, mango, passionfruit and pineapple, Endless Haze is inspired by beach days, pool parties, barbecues and summer sports, according to the brewer.
