Little Creatures launches Pacific Ale

Lion’s Little Creatures is launching a Pacific Ale in time for its 21st birthday.

The brewery is following in the footsteps of breweries such as 4 Pines, Coopers and even Coles’ private-label brand Tinnies, which have launched their own versions.

They took on the style following the conclusion of a long-running trademark dispute involving the owners of the original Pacific Ale, Stone & Wood, which first launched the beer under its current name in 2010.

Australia’s craft beer pioneer Little Creatures is celebrating summer early, with the launch of their new Pacific Ale, which is due to hit shelves across the country from this Monday 9 August.

The launch of Little Creatures’ Pacific Ale comes just in time to mark the 21st anniversary of Little Creatures: a significant milestone for the brand that paved the way for craft beer in Australia.

Little Creatures Head Brewer Russ Gosling said the new Pacific Ale was a reminder of sunny days.

“Little Creatures Pacific Ale has a soft fizz and passionfruit aroma, with a slightly dry yet super refreshing finish. The Pacific Ale captures all the big hop tropical flavours without the bitterness – delivering a fresh, session-able brew perfect for the summer months.”

Bursting with passionfruit and citrus aromatics with a smooth, easy drinking finish, this taste of summer will be on the taps all year-round joining Little Creatures Pale Ale, XPA, Rogers and a brand new Hazy IPA in the core range.

The milestone will also be marked with the launch of Little Creatures’ signature Pale Ale in cans. The new cans will showcase Little Creatures’ new branding, which pays homage to the Little Creatures much-loved cherub as its centrepiece. Little Creatures will also release its fan-favourite XPA in cans from this week, with the brand-new Hazy IPA also due to land in cans later in August.

“21 years ago, we were pioneers in the American Pale Ale style of craft beer here in Australia. Today, we continue to play a leading role in the industry and importantly the community when it comes to flavour forward, distinctive aroma, hoppy beers.”

On the imminent launch of Little Creatures’ new Hazy IPA, Gosling added: “IPAs are seeing huge growth here in Australia, and this is really being led by Hazy IPAs.”

“Our previous IPA was more of a west coast style, which was quite hop-forward, but our new Hazy IPA has bigger, juicier, fruitier flavours. This is really the first of many IPA innovations you can expect to see from Little Creatures over the next little while.”

With breweries in both Fremantle, WA and Geelong, VIC, Little Creatures maximises flavour, while minimising miles, prioritising quality, and fresh beer above all.

The Pacific Ale will be available in 4-pack cans & 16-pack case as well as a range of new cans including NEW Hazy IPA, XPA and our much-loved Pale Ale.

The Pacific Ale will be available in major retailers nationally from this week for a RRP of $19 for a four pack of cans, or $57 for a 16 pack. The Hazy IPA will be available from the end of the month for an RRP of $24 for a four pack of cans, or $69 for a 16 pack.
