Konvoy announces equity raise and GABS partnership

Konvoy Kegs has announced an equity raising campaign, alongside a new partnership with the GABS beer festival.

Advisory group Grant Samuel is leading the $25 million equity raise for the group, in an effort to secure growth capital.

The capital injection will focus on the demands of the reopening hospitality sector as brewers continue to outsource supply chain logistics.

Brews News understands that investors have been advised that the company’s pooling business is EBITDA positive, as it looks towards more offshore acquisitions to tackle the global market.

Last year, Konvoy announced the expansion of its keg tracking business, with the acquisition of intellectual property assets from Portuguese technology company, Onalytics.

The news follows a period of growth for the group, which saw it sign a new deal with Lion, expand into Europe and New Zealand

GABS festival partnership

Alongside the equity raise campaign, Konvoy Kegs has continued to invest in the industry announcing a major partnership with the Great Australian Beer Spectapular (GABS) Beer Festival, set to take place later this year.

As part of the partnership, Konvoy will showcase its digital keg solutions across the festival, citing its commitment to promoting sustainability and responsible drinking.

“We are thrilled to join forces with GABS Beer Festival as a major partner,” Konvoy Australia sales director Nick Becker said in a media release.

“We are committed to promoting sustainability and high quality in the beer industry while supporting local businesses and promoting the unique and diverse beer culture in the region.

“Our partnership with GABS is a testament to our dedication to making a positive impact in the industry.”

Becker also highlighted the partnership as a continued commitment to supporting local brewers.

“At Konvoy, we also believe that keeping it local is essential for the growth and development of the ANZ beer industry,” Becker said.

“By partnering with GABS and supporting local brewers, we aim to help nurture and celebrate the unique, diverse and vibrant beer culture of ANZ.”
