Summer seasonal from Little Creatures

Little Creatures Dog Days Media ReleaseSEPTEMBER 2015 – It’s only natural during the cold winter months that our brewer’s minds wander a little. While enjoying our Winter Seasonal, Return of the Dread during the winter nights in Fremantle, our brewers found themselves reminiscing about the long hot days of summer and enjoying beer together out the back of the brewery on the harbour.

It was at this time that inspiration struck and they set to work to brew a beer that captured the feeling of refreshment on a long, hot summer day – and Dog Days Summer Beer was born.

Who better than Russell Gosling, Head Brewer in Fremantle to talk about the beer. “It’s a fine summer beer – crisp, clean, refreshing and hoppy. The beer pours a straw yellow colour with a rocky white head and tropical hop aromas waft thickly out of the glass. The bright, peachy, juicy-fruit hop flavours marry nicely with the wheat malt. In terms of bitterness, its firm, but not so intense that it overwhelms the light wheat character.”

Seasonal release beers are now a permanent fixture on the Creatures calendar, allowing our brewers to experiment with new styles and flavour hounds the chance to explore seasonal flavours. The next release is planned for winter 2016. We couldn’t wait to give great beer lovers a taste of summer, so we’ve decided to launch the beer early around the country. It will be available from October for a limited time over the summer months, or until stock runs out.
