The Natural - Inspired by Cadel, Brewed For Amy

Murray's The NaturalMurray’s Craft Brewing Company is one of Australia’s most prolific small breweries in terms of releasing new craft beers. Today Murray’s launch their latest special release today, a 5% abv “Provincial French Ale” called The Natural and it will help raise money for safe bicycling in Australia.

This new beer has been described by Murray Howe as “very yeast driven and different but oh so drinkable. It’s all good to go and tasting exactly as we had planned.”

This beer has been brewed in honour of Cadel Evans’ historic win at the 2011 Tour de France.

Importantly, all proceeds from this batch go to the Amy Gillett Foundation, which aims to reduce the incidence of injury and death caused by the interaction of cyclists and motorists.

The weeks of watching Cadel ride through the French countryside saw our thoughts turn to French country ales, yeast driven session strength beers of character.

The Natural uses a unique and distinctive French Ale yeast that contributes mightily to the overall profile of the brew. Strong earthy, country aromas dominate with a light acidity on the palate followed by the driest of cracking dry finishes.

High malted and unmalted wheat content, hazy, pale straw colour. Different, distinctive, unfiltered. Natural.

The Natural is available from Saturday 24th September 2011 via Murray’s Brewery online, at the brewery Cellar Door or by phoning 02 4982 6411

The Amy Gillett Foundation’ s vision is to eliminate bike related fatalities. Adrian Leggett from Murray’s Craft Brewing Co will be participating in this year’s Share The Road Tour 2011 in Tasmania. You can help us raise even more money by sponsoring Adrian on the ride .

The process is simple and fully tax deductible. It can be done by going to the Amy Gillett Foundation website and clicking through to the Share The Road Tour 2011 – go to Sponsor a Rider – and sponsor Adrian.

Recent studies have shown that over 4 million Australians ride their bikes for sport or recreation in this country and it’s in everyone’s interest to keep bike riders safe. Murray says “I am really hoping Adrian and ourselves can raise a few more dollars through this great initiative. If you are a Murrays fan, it’ll be good karma for you to donate.”
