Amber Affair returns on October 22

Sydney – 7 October 2015,Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation is aiming to raise $60,000 at the 2015 annual Amber Affair event to support over 45,800 sick and injured children at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.

In celebration of Sydney Craft Beer Week, Amber Affair will be held on 22 October 2015 at The Argyle at the Rocks and will be hosted byPeter Stefanovic, journalist and presenter with Nine Network. The event is open to the public to enjoy a range of unique beers, cider and wine all while supporting a great cause.

CEO of Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, Leanne Warner, said “We are proud to host Amber Affair for its 14th consecutive year. It’s a relaxed event for friends and colleagues to get togethertosample unique beers and wine and have the chance to win some amazing prizes.

“Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick relies on generous donations from the public, as well as fundraising events such as this, to really make a difference to the children and their families who are treated here at the Hospital. Throughout Amber Affair’s lifetime we have raised a total of $600,000, which is fantastic and this year we hope to add an extra $60,000 to this great total,” added Ms Warner.

Funds raised from the event will help the Hospital to purchase advanced new equipment; fund clinical trials and research; provide vital training for doctors and nurses; and ensure the Hospital remains at the forefront of its field to provide the best possible care for patients.

Ms Warner added, “We care deeply for our children and families so it’s vital we continue to raise funds to support them. I look forward to seeing you all at Amber Affair.”

Brewers exhibiting at the event include Young Henrys, James Squire (Lion Co), Endeavour Vintage Beer Co, Hemera Estate (Winston Wine), Batlow Cider, Stone Brewing Company, The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel, Premium Beverages, Redoak Brewery – Restaurant – Bar , Rocks Brewing Company and Broken Heart Gin (HMH Beverages).

Tickets to Amber Affair cost $75 and include free flowing finger food, a tasting from every exhibiting brewery and winery on the night, and three full glasses from your favourite exhibitors.

Attendees have the chance to enter fun competitions to win prizes on the night, with a raffle where one lucky attendee can win ‘Beer for a Year’.
