Judging at the 2019 Sydney Royal Beer and Cider Show.

In response to the extended lockdown in Greater Sydney, the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) has postponed the 2021 Sydney Royal Beer & Cider Show with judging rescheduled for Wednesday, 15thSeptember 2021.

The competition, which was set to take place in July, aims to celebrate the Australian beer, cider and perry industry and encourage its constant development through skilled evaluation of products.

RAS Wine Committee Chair Sally Evans says although it is disappointing, safety must come first.

“The competition provides a great opportunity for beer, cider and perry producers and brewers to benchmark their products against competitors, so although it is a shame to see the competition postponed, we must be flexible and adapt to ensure the competition can happen in 2021, and provide that valuable service to our exhibitors,” Sally Evans said.

“On behalf of the RAS, Ithank all exhibitors and judges for their understanding, and we look forward to bringing the Sydney Royal Beer and Cider Show back to life this September.”

The RAS is also revising new dates for the 2021 Grape, Grain & Graze Festival and 2021 Sydney Royal Beer and Cider Show Winners Announcement, this will be communicated in coming weeks. The public event was set to take place Saturday, 7thAugust 2021.
