2023 Indies Awards banner

As we prepare to judge the 2023 Indies Awards, the Independent Brewers Association wants to ensure that the people who contribute so much to the rich fabric of our industry are also acknowledged and celebrated.

That’s why, each year, we include peer nominated categories to tip our hat to those that do the intangible, the extra, the unique, and the trail blazing.

Any IBA member can nominate  individuals, groups or business under the following categories via the Indies peer nomination form:

  • Service to the Industry – presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to Australian independent beer.
  • Young Gun of the Year – presented to an employee of an IBA member, who is under 35, a high achiever, a strong promoter of indie beer and who has a collaborative nature.
  • True Indie Supporter – awarded to a retailer, publican or bar operator that strongly supports indie beer, via advocacy or marketing and promotion.

Indies peer nominations close 20 July so best you put your thinking caps on.

The winners of these awards will be announced on 23 August alongside all of our trophy winners so make sure you book your Indies Award Ceremony ticket now.

Also last but by no means least, don’t forget the Indies Awards entries close this Friday 30 June so not a lot of time to get your beers in. Find out how to enter the Indies Awards via the IBA website.
