Sample Brew launches 3/4 IPA

sample-brew-cans-2016Melbourne-based experimental brewery, Sample Brew have announced the latest in their lineup of fine beer with a lighter, more refined 3/4 IPA.

The IPA, which calls on lovers of their fine beer to ‘embrace the fraction’, will ship in cans – a first from the brand.

Sample Brew founder, Vedad Huric, said the team thought differently when they designed the recipe – ending with an IPA profile without the weight.

“The real gap in our existing line up – Pale Ale, Gold Ale and Lager – was for a solid IPA, but we also wanted something a little different that furthers our purpose of inspiring ideas,” he said.

“We’ve reduced the malt profile, yet kept it complex and light on the palette by adding pilsner and wheat malts.

“The new addition is hop forward like a traditional IPA, except the hops are shifted towards the end of the brew. This reduces the bitterness and intensifies the bright citrus and pinewood aromas.”

The 3/4 IPA is 4.2% ABV and will be available to wholesalers in Melbourne and Sydney from the first week of June.
